Intensive Course for Basketball Managers

Explore world famous organizational system of Lithuanian basketball.

We are offering 5 days intensive courses for basketball clubs, schools and sport organisations managers. Course is organised in Kaunas (Lithuania) in cooperation with Lithuanian Basketball Coaches Association, Lithuanian Youth and Professional Basketball clubs as well as with Lithuanian Basketball Leagues. Minimum number of the participants in the course is 20 persons, maximum – 35 persons.

The format of the courses composed of theoretical classes and visits to different basketball organisations an events.

Course designed to explore pyramid of Lithuanian basketball, from general management structure to the main subjects of development – basketball clubs and schools development. Course includes topics in mega events organisation – Eurobasket 2011, which is still counted as the best ever organized Eurobasket in the history.

Visits to different basketball organisations will make understanding what is the most important in the process of developing of young and elite players, as well as how pyramid of Lithuania basketball leagues interact for multi years preparation of elite players.

The course is composed of following activities:

• Basketball managements classes  – Lectures of experts who built and improved Lithuanian basketball system.
• Visits to basketball schools – Visits and meetings at the biggest basketball schools of Lithuania.
• Meetings with basketball legends – Discussions with leading persons of LTU basketball.
• Watching games – Visits to Euroleague, Eurocup or Lithuanian basketball leagues games.

Content of the course

Intensive course for basketball managers is available in english and russian languages. Topics of the course are coordinated with leader of the group (if course designed to specific group of coaches coming from one basketball school or one country) or announced on the IBU website  (www.basketballstudies.com) at least 3 months in before the start.

IBU will advice on options for accommodation and catering for course participants as well as local transportation during full duration of the course accordingly to the group needs.

Course designed for any level active sport managers, leaders of sport organisations or players who intend  to become a part of the sport organisation staff.
