April 11th, 2019 We are happy to announce that all IBU students will have a chance to participate in International Basketball Coaches Clinics which will be held in Kaunas on dates June 21st to 23rd. Intensive basketball course/program is launched


April 10, 2019 The board of IBU has confirmed and announced the program of Intensive course for basketball coaches which will be held from June 21st, 2019. Participants are offered to choose 5 and 14 days duration courses. Each participant will be awarded certificate which is recognised by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of Lithuania. Total duration of the course (14 days) - 180 academic hours. IBU Undergraduate studies start date is announced


April 2nd, 2019. The IBU board members meeting has take place in Kaunas on 2nd of April. One of the most important decisions was - the start date of undergraduate (Bachelor degree) studies for Basketball Business Management course, the studies will start on June 21st, 2019, the course will take place in Kaunas, Lithuania. Exploring Game Performance in the National Basketball Association Using Player Tracking Data


Recent player tracking technology provides new information about basketball game performance. The aim of this study was to (i) compare the game performances of all-star and non all-star basketball players from the National Basketball Association (NBA), and (ii) describe the different basketball game performance profiles based on the different game roles. Archival data were obtained from all 2013-2014 regular season games (n = 1230). Performance profile in basketball


In the last 10 years, many papers addressed the performance profile of basketball players during match-play. All these studies were synthetized in a recently published systematic review. It has been shown that during live playing time across 40-min matches, male and female basketball players travel 5–6 km at average physiological intensities above lactate threshold and 85% of maximal heart rate.
